we offer many different styles of dance

Ages 2-8

Age appropriate basic + beginner techniques/exercises

Princess Pre-Ballet

Ages 2½- 3½

This class is a specially designed introduction to dance for our youngest students. This
program is filled with beginner ballet, creative movement, stretching, strengthening, props, dance story time and fun!

Tap 1 & 1A

Ages 6-8

Tap builds coordination and provides exposure to the rhythms and unique mind-to-foot
connection. This will allow students to progress and excel at the arts as they move
through life. This class is super fun and very different from other classes offered.

Tiaras & Tutus


Ages 3½-4½

Ballet classes help dancers with posture, flexibility, balance and build self-confidence. This class offers ballet, creative movement, flexibility, coordination, strength, musical exercises, technique & age appropriate choreography. Center work, barre work, across the floor are a weekly practice and that starts in this class.

Ballet/Lyrical 1 & 1A

Ages 6-8

Lyrical Dance is a form of dance that requires technique that combines aspects of modern dance, ballet, and acro. It’s an expression to music with a strong emotional interpretation of the chosen song. Technique, stretching, flexibility, and choreography are very important at this level.

Kinder Classes


Ages 4½-5½

Ballet is the foundation of many dance forms and develops grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. All of our Kinder classes are based in ballet, with a portion of the class offering a variety of dance styles such as jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, mat work, and creative movement, depending on the class you’ve chosen.

Jazz/HipHop 1 & 1A

Ages 6-8

Hip Hop dance is highly energetic and fun! The dancing represents body movements
that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. This class offers jazz technique,
hip hop dance, strength & flexibility exercises. This is where your dancer will hear their favorite, most popular songs.

Ages 9-18

Professional classes with highly trained dance educators

Classical Ballet

Considered the basis for ALL dance forms. Proper ballet training is essential to become a proficient dancer of any style. Learn correct ballet technique with Russian, French, Italian, English + American influence

Pointe

By recommendation only. Must have a certain amount of proper prior ballet training and sufficient strength for pointe work. Begins at level 2A. Must take a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week to take Pointe class.

Lyrical/
Contemporary

A stunning combination of ballet + modern to create a highly unique and expressive style of dance. Requires strong ballet technique.

Modern

This more abstract style of dance + choreographic require strong dance technique yet contains some elements of free form. Excellent training for college dance programs, drawing from various modern dance influences.

Jazz

Learn a variety of jazz dance techniques with influences from Broadway/musical theatre, classical jazz + more contemporary, funky styles of jazz dance.

Tap

Learn proper tap technique + rhythm skills with influences from Broadway/musical theater and contemporary, funky styles of tap dance

hip Hop

Learn the latest Hip Hop techniques taught with influences of B-Boy, MTV, funk, SYTYCD and more

Common Questions

CDE DRESS CODE 2023-2024

All dancers must follow the dress code when attending all classes.

Pink ballet slippers, Pink Tights, Solid Color Ballet Leotard.

KinderBalletTap – Ballet Slippers and Tan Tap shoes

KinderBalletHipHop- Ballet Slippers & Tan Jazz Shoes (We do not recommend PAYLESS or TARGET ballet slippers). Ballet skirts + Sweaters Permitted.

  • ALL HAIR must be back in a secure pony tail or a neat bun. NO hair in face. We recommend a cloth headband. 
  • No jewelry except small earrings permitted.
  • No plastic bracelets or Biker Shorts/any shorts, t shirts, gymnastics leotards or street clothing.

 

NOTE-  If you have 2 classes in a row (Ballet/Lyrical then Jazz/Hip Hip or Tap) you can just wear PINK tights for all of those classes if you like, OR you can change your tights. Either way OK!

Tan jazz booties or tan tap shoes. Tan tights. Dance leotard.

Dance leotard, tan tights or proper BLACK dance pants/shorts/leggings. Tan Tap Shoes/Oxfords.

Modern- Tan Jazz booties, bare feet. 
Modern/Lyrical 3– Foot Undies

Level 4/5- Any clean non black bottom sneakers for class 

Hip Hop2/3-  Sparkle hip hop sneakers 

  • ALL HAIR must be back in a secure  bun. NO hair in face. 
  • No jewelry except small earrings permitted.
  • No plastic bracelets or Biker Shorts, no sportswear, NO LOGOS, tshirts, gymnastics leotards or street clothing.
  • No bare midriffs.
NO SPORTS BRAS MAY BE SHOWING. SPECIAL CLEAR STRAP dance bras can be purchased if needed.

Dance sweaters permitted. Black dance shorts permitted.
